Dr. Steve Turnbull

Steve has been teaching at The Master's Institute since 2009, and more recently joined the staff as Provost in 2024. In addition to his work at MI, Steve is the senior pastor at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio. His education includes a B.A. in Chemistry and German from the College of Wooster (1997), an M.Div. from Luther Seminary (2001), and a Ph.D. in New Testament from Duke University (2006). Before moving to Columbus, Steve served at Community of Grace Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Steve is an enthusiastic fan of Ohio State football and Olympic Track and Field, but his first loves are his wife Amy, their two inspiring children, and one incorrigible Labrador Retriever.
