Dr. Zachary Wagner

Zachary Wagner (DPhil, University of Oxford) is a biblical scholar, nonprofit director, and author. From 2016–2026, he worked in various roles at the Center for Pastor Theologians, including as editorial director and director of programs. His education includes a B.A. (Theology) from the Moody Bible Institute; two M.A.s (Biblical Exegesis, Systematic Theology) from Wheaton College Graduate School; an M.St. (Theology – New Testament) from Mansfield College, University of Oxford; and a D.Phil. (Theology – New Testament) from Keble College, University of Oxford. He is the author of two books on Christian masculinity, Non-Toxic Masculinity (IVP, 2023) and Men of Virtue (Brazos, 2026). Zach and his wife Shelby attend Calvary Memorial Church in Oak Park, IL, where they share a home with their three children and two additional housemates.
