Dr. Nathan Hoff

Dynamics of Pneumatology

Nathan was born in San Pedro, California and has lived in Seattle, Dubuque, the Texas panhandle, Peterson (MN), Minneapolis/St Paul, Portland, Stavanger (Norway), and Orange County, but boomeranged back to San Pedro when he received a call to serve as pastor at Trinity in 2005. He has a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary (2002) and a Doctor of Ministry from Western Theological Seminary (2024). In addition to pastoral responsibilities, Nathan is a teacher and a speaker. Nathan is married to Joy and they have four kids named Christian (married to Molly), Annika, Samuel, and Peter.  

 

Dr. Jennifer Hornyak Wojciechowski

Reformation History

Dr. Jennifer Hornyak Wojciechowski is an assistant professor of Church History at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and the associate editor of the journal Word & World. Her areas of scholarship include the history of Christianity, women’s history, American history, and the intersection of religion and social reform. She is the author of Women and the Christian Story: A Global History (2022), and her upcoming book is Tending the Garden: A History of Christian Mysticism (February 2025). She lives in St. Anthony Village, MN with her husband, Alec, and their children Lucy and Emory.

 

Dr. Alicia Granholm

Pastoral Leadership and Innovation

For nearly two decades, Dr. Alicia Granholm has trained and equipped leaders to thrive in their leadership and life, empowering them to make a lasting impact. Alicia compassionately crosses cultural boundaries having lived, served, traveled, and studied in 25 countries on six continents. For more than 10 years, she served as a pastor in both mainline and non-denominational churches in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. She has also held advisory and leadership roles in both state government and non-profit organizations. Alicia has her Doctor of Strategic Leadership with a focus on Global Consulting from Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA), a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN), and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN).

 

Dave Rinker

Social Justice

Dave Rinker has served as a pastor and teacher for the past 20 years in Michigan, California, and Minnesota. He has taught courses in Hebrew Bible at M.I. since 2014 and in the social sciences at the secondary level. Dave’s commitment to education and formation focus his writing on ecological issues and pedagogy. Backpacking, cycling, and adventures big and small are how Dave and his wife Caila make home with their two boys (Levi and Emerson) in Rochester. Both Caila and Dave are graduates of Fuller Theological Seminary and are currently missing the mountains of California. Caila serves in chaplaincy at Mayo Clinic. Dave is author of Beards & Fields: Literary Ecocentrism in Torah.

 

Kirsten King

Preaching Practicum

Kirsten B. King grew up in the Twin Cities and graduated from the University of Northwestern-Saint Paul. She holds a Masters of Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Il. She lives with her husband Kenny in Saint Paul. She is part of the pastoral team serving at Capital City Church. Kirsten is an active Bible teacher and speaker for various conferences, camps, churches, and events. She has a passion for God’s Word and the way it can transform lives and bring God glory. She is also the author and host of the Good Story podcast. In her spare time, Kirsten is an avid sports fan, and enjoys spending time with her family, going out for lunch or coffee, reading, running, and shoes.
